AHHS EMR at Work
In practice, an AHHS system operates quite simply. It works like this:
- A health-care professional requests a client's phone number, and sends an application to the patient's smartphone;
- The patient enters foundational information;
- The professional accesses patient records, and saves them to the patient’s AHHS system file.
Using smartcard and Bluetooth technology, and a unique patient identifier, the professional may search for existing patients by name or identification number, or by using referents that classify, for example, by an at-risk determination. Symptoms may be recorded and assimilated into an overall vision of patient health, allowing for easier diagnosis, and crisis anticipation. Medical condition and treatment possibilities are cued from symptom information with a unique drop-down menu. And treatment and medication options are arrived at more rapidly, and with greater professional confidence.
If medication is indicated, the professional may create a prescription, and find the best available pharmacy according to location, price, availability, or other preferences; once the patient reaches the pharmacy, AHHS informs the pharmacist of the patient’s information, including possible interactions, and records the prescription pickup.
As treatment evolves, professionals retain communicative immediacy with their patients using AHHS-based voice, video, and text messaging.
A simple application to unlock a comprehensive vision of patient health. Simplified and accurate diagnosis and treatment options. Office-to-office alignment with pharmacies and other secondary health-sector services. AHHS transforms the professional health-care workplace.
